Join us for an evening of poetry and prose, including original works by AAWA writers Margaret S. Barrie, Melany Bell, Noni Ervin, Miz Floes, Monique Franklin, James Macon, Georgia S. McDade, Joseph Gaylloyd Sissón, Santiago Vega, and Jaye Ware.
The Seattle-based African-American Writers’ Alliance (AAWA) is a diverse and dynamic collective of writers of African descent. Their stories — triumphs, tragedies, and whatever is within and between the two — are the history of African Americans. They tell their stories in their own words and encourage others to do the same.
