We are very pleased to welcome flugelhornist Dmitri Matheny to our stage. Acclaimed for his warm tone, soaring lyricism, and masterful technique, Matheny has been lauded as "one of the most emotionally expressive improvisers of his generation" (International Review of Music).

An honors graduate of Berklee College of Music, Matheny vaulted onto the 1990s jazz scene as a protege of jazz legend Art Farmer. He has toured extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia, and has over 100 recordings to his credit along with 12 albums released as a leader.

Favorite selections will also include Desafinado by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stormy Weather by Harold Arlen, and Stolen Moments by Oliver Nelson, plus special pieces from Dmitri's acclaimed 2022 album "Cascadia."
