Get ready for Seattle’s Official Lunar New Year Festival in the Chinatown-International District! The festivities kick off at 11 AM and continue throughout the day until 4 PM.

  • Start at Hing Hay Park (at S. King St. and Maynard Ave S.)! The neighborhood will blossom with families, foodies, and visitors enjoying the tastes and sounds of authentic Asian cuisine and cultural entertainment in the newly expanded park!
     
  • Vibrant Lion dances, rhythmical Japanese Taiko drumming, Chinese martial arts demonstrations and other multi-cultural entertainment on the main entertainment stage with hands-on Asian arts projects for the whole family.
     
  • 10th Annual Lunar New Year $3 Food Walk this year with more $3 menu items than ever!  Featuring over 45 international restaurants, this year’s Food Walk will offer up everything from traditional dim sum and chow mein, to unique items such as crawfish tacos.
     
  • Children and adults are invited to show off their best cultural New Year’s outfits in the 10th Annual Children and Adult’s Parade & Costume Contest, presented by Northwest Asian Weekly.
     
  • CIDBIA is partnering with Dragonfly Farms to celebrate the Year of the Pig with mini pigs! Dragonfly Farms will have a parade of mini pigs on the main stage at 2:15pm.
     
  • Test your luck at the Fortune Boxes in Hing Hay Park. Attendees can be purchase tickets at the Information Booth for $10 each or 3 for $25. Each ticket is a combination to a lock, which could open the box to amazing prizes such as gift cards to local restaurants!
