Nobody Lives Here
APRIL 7, 2023 - MARCH 2024
Venue
Wing Luke Museum
719 South King Street, Downtown Seattle, Seattle
Artist and historian Tessa Hulls illuminates the businesses, homes, and people who were displaced when the I-5 freeway was built through the CID in the 1960s.
Using historic photos, oral histories, and archival research, the exhibit connects these specific histories to broader themes of racist land use policy and the erasure of marginalized communities -- nationally and locally, past and present.
