Move yo’ body rhythms reverberate in this beat-filled visual mixtape that blends poetry, dance, media, and music. Equal parts comedy, pain, and retrospection, Paige Hernandez uses the stage to share her own story as a multicultural girl growing up in Baltimore who is desperate to fit in and find her voice. Paige’s journey through hip-hop leads to self-discovery to become a leading artist of this generation. Sibling-duo Paige Hernandez (writer and performer) and Nick tha 1da (musician) in collaboration with Danielle A. Drakes (director) and Bryan Joseph Lee (dramaturg) have developed a unique coming-of-age story that speaks to a dynamic hip-hop-influenced generation.

We are pleased to present this special performance giving children and families a world-class theatre experience modified for those with sensory needs. It’s part of our mission to provide youth of all ages access to professional theatre. We understand every child is different, and strive to make this a successful trip for everyone.

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOL

As we return to live-theatre productions, the safety of our audiences, students, artists, and staff is our first priority. We continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health and update our practices and plans as circumstances and guidelines change. We follow a universal masking policy and require all patrons over that age of 2 years wear a mask while in the building. As of November 1, SCT staff are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. With the beginning of our season in February 2022, we will require:

Proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test for those who are eligible and cannot receive the vaccination
A valid ticket to the performance
Photo ID

2 for $10 Sundays: A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and for another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.
