One piano, one pianist, a handful of improvisers, and YOU. Created right before your eyes, from themes provided by the audience, our imaginative performers weave together entertaining and touching songs, stories, and characters all centered around one main concept. This improvised concept musical show is a genuine musical collaboration between the audience, improvisers, and the musician. Inspired by concept musicals like Company, Assassins, and Working.

Ages 13+ Content Considerations: While Unexpected Productions always strives to present material that is appropriate for teen and adult audiences, due to the unpredictable and audience-participatory nature of improvisation, it is impossible to guarantee the content.

To maintain health and safety while gathering in person, Unexpected Productions will continue to follow state, county, and city protocols. As of March 12, 2022, proof of vaccination and masks are no longer required. We also encourage everyone to use good judgment. If you feel ill, stay at home, and please be respectful of others at all times.

As of August 2021, Unexpected Productions will require proof of vaccination for entry to all performances at the Market Theater. Those individuals unable to be fully vaccinated, including children under 12, must have proof of a negative Covid test (taken within 72 hours of performance). Unexpected Productions staff will check for proof of vaccination and negative Covid tests at the doors as a condition of entry. Additionally, masking is required inside the venue. Patrons and employees will be required to wear masks, except while actively eating or drinking. Learn more here.

2 for $10 Sundays: A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and for another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.
