Join TeenTix and Seattle Public Theater for an afternoon of drama and deep discussion!
Join us on Sunday, February 10 for a show that takes a personal look into the growing struggle of narcotics addiction in Washington State. This event is perfect for teens who are looking to make a deep dive into real life issues that affect the world around them and offer their voices to the greater discussion. TeenTix Members can RSVP in advance for themselves and up to three other people of any age for this matinee, featuring free cookies and a post-show talkback with the cast of Fire Season!
ABOUT THE SHOW
When a twelve-year-old boy overdoses on Oxycontin in rural Washington, his small-town community is left reeling. FIRE SEASON -- a brand new, never before seen world premiere by inaugural winner of Seattle Public Theater’s Emerald Prize, Aurin Squire -- is an at times funny and always unflinching look at strong, working class Americans hoping to make it through another day. What happens when systems harm the people they’re supposed to help -- and what does it take to fight back?
1:00 PM - Doors open. Snag a cookie and mingle with the director before the show!
2:00 PM - Fire Season begins; includes one 15-minute intermission
4:00 PM - Post-show discussion with the cast begins (plan for approximately 30 minutes)
