Known for his strong sense of social justice and gift for the poetics, Muhammad Ali was a fighter inside and outside the ring. SCT is proud to partner with ArtsCorps and Youth Speaks Seattle to honor Ali’s legacy with this special presentation highlighting local young voices! Audiences will get to explore the themes of social justice and self-empowerment through the words of these talented Seattle poets.
TeenTix members can reserve $5 tickets by calling SCT's box office at 206-441-3322, or by showing their TeenTix Pass when they purchase tickets before the show!
ABOUT THE SHOW
Long before he was Muhammad Ali, 12-year-old Cassius Clay knew he would be a hero someday, no matter what anyone else had to say. In the nation’s dark time of Jim Crow racism and violence, Cassius— with the support of his family, training from Officer Joe Martin, and his own hard work—fought his way onto the gold-medal stand and into the history books.
