COVID-19 AND 18TH & UNION: THE REOPENING

Since July 2021, 18th & Union has been welcoming limited in-person audiences back in to the space, while carefully and proactively following all public health and common sense guidelines. We’ve made improvements to the physical venue, acquired equipment to support live streaming over the internet, and set up health and safety protocols for artists, audience members and others who will access the space.

We're taking it carefully. Please note the following guidelines for joining us in-person at 18th & Union:

• Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required for entry into the venue. We must regretfully turn you away if you can't provide an ID, plus one of the following (the names must match):
  • CDC vaccination card.
  • Photo or PDF of the CDC vaccination card on a mobile device.
  • Vaccine certificate generated on https://myirmobile.com, either printed or a PDF on a mobile device. The registration process takes a few minutes.
  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of showtime.
• Face coverings are required while not eating or drinking.
• The bar will be open. Plastic payments only please, no cash accepted at this time.
• All venue staff and performers are fully vaccinated and will be masked when not performing.
• We installed a new ventilation system, which transfers air in the performance space every 5 minutes.
• If you purchase an in-person ticket, and change your mind for any reason, we will exchange your tickets for the Live Stream.

New Ventilation
A new ventilation system was installed in the performance space to increase the safety and comfort of all artists and guests at 18th & Union. It’s quiet and effective, running at a CFM (cubic feet/minute) rate that will replace the air in the space about every 5 minutes.

We also have new air conditioning units in all areas of the space to provide a more comfortable environment for all.

Ready to Live Stream
Most of our performances are offered to limited in-person attendees, as well as livestream audiences. In this way, we hope to be able to accommodate multiple preferences for viewing, and to pivot quickly if public health recommendations change without warning.

As always at 18th & Union, tickets will be offered on a sliding scale to accommodate different budgets while also valuing the work of our partner artists.

As of August 2021:

• All tickets must be purchased in advance. We'll expand to offer at-the-door ticket sales when we're able.
• Proof of vaccination will be required for entry into the venue.
• Masks are required while not eating or drinking.
• All venue staff are fully vaccinated and will be masked.
• All performers are fully vaccinated and will be masked when not performing.
• The audience will only be filled to partial capacity.
• There will be no late seating. If you're driving, please arrive in our neighborhood early enough to find parking.
• The bar will be open, but plastic & touch-free payments only. No cash accepted at this time.
• There will be no late seating. No exceptions.
• If you purchase a ticket to watch a show in person and change your mind, no matter the reason, we'll exchange your ticket so you can watch on the live stream.

2 for $10 Sundays: A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.
