Mentorship Program for Teen Artists of Color (M-TAC)
TeenTix works in collaboration with The Colorization Collective, a group led by young people (who are also TeenTix alumni!), which promotes diversity in the arts, to present a mentorship program for teen artists of color. Teens work with their mentors and a cohort of peers to hone their craft and develop new work.
Join TeenTix and the Colorization Collective for the first ever gallery showing of work from the Mentorship Program for Teen Artists of Color. Current and past mentees will be shown from August 3-August 29 at Seattle's AN/T Gallery. You can join us at the opening night party on August 6th from 5-8 PM (there will be goody bags, free food, and music from one of our teen features, Emma Wang!) or stop by anytime before August 29th.
We are currently hosting a Summer 2022 M-TAC Cohort focusing on Writing and Visual Arts, which runs July and August 2022.
Experience artwork from the Winter 2022 M-TAC Cohort in the 2022 Teen Arts and Opportunity Fair! This annual event produced by The New Guard, centered around professional development and teen art.
Past cohorts include a Summer 2021 cohort focused on Visual and Performing Arts, and the inaugural M-TAC cohort in Summer 2020. The inaugural program consisted of two cohorts of Visual Arts and one cohort of Performing Arts. To see the work created by each cohort, check out their digital galleries!
