Seattle Music Partners is dedicated to bringing more music-learning opportunities to students in low-income schools.

SMP offers free after-school programs that uses music and mentorship to empower young people. Their unique program matches skilled volunteers from the community, one-on-one, with students who wish to learn how to play an instrument, read music, and become part of a music-making community.

Seattle Music Partners is looking for volunteer musicians to serve as music instructors and mentors for young musicians in the Central District! They do this by recruiting, training, and supporting high school, college-aged, and older community musicians to be volunteer music tutors and mentors who lead one-on-one music lessons each week for our students. With over 100 students interested in our program, our need for volunteers is great.

SMP seeks skilled musicians who are available to volunteer once a week for its after-school programming. Volunteers gain ~50 hours of service in a program year and receive weekly trainings in music instruction, mentorship, and social justice.

Learn more about how to apply to be an SMP volunteer at www.seattlemusicpartners.org. Have any questions? Contact Community Outreach Director Evan Farnsworth at (206) 422-8972 or evan@seattlemusicpartners.org.
