Doctor Moloch at the Unicorn Theatre
Now thru February 16
- Dr. Moloch is an AI Robot who needs to learn to feel human emotions. In the new age of technology an actress, Serena, is brought in to teach Moloch how to have human emotions. With a 10-million-dollar contract on the line, will Serena succeed? And will it be what they really want?
- TeenTix KC Pass holders can buy $5 tickets or “2-for-$10” by phone or in-person on the day of the show.
- During performances, the Box Office is open 12pm-5pm on Monday and Tuesday, 12pm-7:30pm Wednesday and Thursday, 12pm-8pm on Friday, 5pm-8pm on Saturday, and 12pm-3pm on Sunday. If you purchase tickets over the phone, check in at the Box Office with your name and your TeenTix KC Pass when you arrive. Just Ask! at the Coterie Theatre

- As they work to create a garden, young people with different abilities are getting to know one another. Young Sonia is new, and there is something she hasn’t told the others about herself. Will they accept her? With multicultural music and joyful choreography, this world premiere musical illustrates how to “just ask” about what makes each of us unique. Just Ask! is based on The New York Times best-selling book by Sonia Sotomayor.

- It’s love month! Join the Kemper Teen Arts Council for a day of art-making inspired by the people and things we love! Bring a physical or digital photo and draw inspiration from work on view and artists from Kemper Museum’s permanent collection, create a drawing, collage, or love letter for a loved one.

- Attention all teen writers! What if you had 10-min to change the world? Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens in America. What do YOU have to say about it? Write a 10-min play confronting gun violence, and you could be one of six chosen to have your voice heard nationwide. Selected playwrights receive a $500 stipend and will have their plays published and performed across the country.

Infinite Regress: Mystical Abstraction from the Permanent Collection and Beyond at Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

- Infinite Regress brings the past in dialogue with the present through selections from the Permanent Collection paired with works by contemporary artists exhibiting at the museum for the first time on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. The exhibition connects these works through a shared vocabulary of mystical abstraction that has both historical and contemporary resonance, engaging periods of extreme transformation in nature and technology.
