Inside a small loan brokerage in Idaho, two men struggle to make a place for their family in the American dream, walking a tightrope while balancing parenthood, financial security, desire, and empathy. This award-winning play leads the audiences on a twisting journey of intrigue, revelation and surprise as the lives of two fathers intertwine in a glorious reflection on what it means to be human.

Run time: 80 minutes, no intermission

    Join us for free before the show at 6:30PM for our Opening Night celebration featuring music, photos, and fun. ACT Contemporary Theatre celebrates opening night, in collaboration with Northwest Folklife, with preshow entertainment from Duo Takinai: Guo Ke and Reynaldo Ruiz.

    In partnership with Dr. Mavis Tsai and the UW Center for the Science of Social Connection.

Ticket Availability

Tickets can be purchased in person at the ACT Theatre Box Office starting one hour before the event.

2 for $10 Sunday

Union Arts Center

A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and for another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.

When a holiday falls on a weekend, the Federal or State observed day will be recognized by Union Arts Center.

In-Person:
For performances, the Box Office will be open one (1) hour before curtain time for Will Call and Sales for that day’s event(s). Staff is usually not available by phone or email during this time.
