Founded by famed viola da gamba virtuoso Cristiano Contadin, the ensemble Opera Prima dedicates this concert to exploring the Italian repertoire of the 1600s (the Seicento) with technical mastery and buoyant enthusiasm. They make their EMS début alongside a favorite of both North American and European audiences, superstar and GRAMMY® Award-winning soprano Amanda Forsythe, in a program that explores the passions of the human soul.

Thrilling and stunningly evocative masterpieces from the most brilliant and imaginative Italian composers of the 17th century.
