Balourdet Quartet & Marc-André Hamelin

The Balourdet Quartet won the 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant and Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award, and this season performs at Carnegie Hall, Boston’s Celebrity Series, and La Jolla Music Society. The group regularly collaborates with leading chamber musicians including Yo-Yo Ma, Marc-André Hamelin, and the Dover, Pacifica, and Ying Quartets, and serves as the first ever string quartet in residence at the Seattle Chamber Music Society. They’re joined by pianist Marc-André Hamelin, who has performed chamber music on the stages of Carnegie Hall and toured internationally with the Takács Quartet in the Schumann Piano Quintet.
