The annual Dance Majors Concert will present 6 student-choreographed works in the styles of contemporary ballet, hip-hop, and modern dance. Exploring themes of femininity, self discovery, love, and forgiveness, the students conceive their own visions and then collaborate with lighting and costume designers to bring their pieces to life onstage. Come and experience the premieres of these creative original works!

Hours

Tickets are available at the performance venue box office one hour prior to curtain. Cash only at box office. No over-the-phone sales.

Age Recommendation

Dance is a performance art that explores diverse experiences, emotions, and perspectives. Content in Department of Dance concerts might not be suitable for all audiences. Works can include content related to topics such as race, gender, relationships, justice, and trauma. Audiences may encounter depictions of intimacy, romance, sexuality, and the adult human body. Dance works may also include audio/visual content such as explicit lyrics or language; loud and sudden sounds; strobe lights; stage fog; etc.

When purchasing tickets, guests should use their best judgment regarding the needs and concerns of everyone in their party – especially younger teens and children.

Children under the age of 6 are not admitted.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the Meany Center Box Office starting one hour before the event.

2 for $10 Sunday

A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and for another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.

Box Office Info

As of August 2021, please read the UW School of Drama COVID Prevention Plan before visiting!

Advance $5 tickets available for purchase online with the code TEENTIX+UW. This code must be entered *before* selecting dates. Members will be asked to present their passes at Will Call when they pick up tickets.

MASKING & PROOF OF VACCINATION (OR NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST) REQUIRED

Masks and proof of vaccination are required for all ages for all ArtsUW Ticket Office events, including Meany Center, DXARTS, Dance Department, School of Drama, and School of Music. The COVID Vaccine check station is outside. Please be prepared with appropriate attire. Individuals unable to be fully vaccinated, including children under 12 and people with a medical or religious exemption, must have proof of a negative COVID PCR test (taken within 72 hours of the performance). UW staff will check for proof of vaccination and negative COVID PCR tests at the doors as a condition of entry. Additionally, masking is required inside the venue. Eating or drinking will not be permitted inside our venues.

The UW requires all visitors to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and requires that event attendees must stay home if symptomatic or if instructed to isolate or quarantine by a public health professional, regardless of vaccination status.

Individuals who do not comply with venue policies will not be admitted.
