Ehnes Quartet & Jonathan Vinocour

The Ehnes Quartet brings together four internationally renowned string musicians, violinists James Ehnes and Amy Schwartz Moretti, violist Che-Yen Chen, and cellist Edward Arron, who have played chamber music together in various formations for more than 20 years. The Strad has praised how the group “meshed together like the old friends they are,” with themes passing seamlessly between players, and James Ehnes himself has won two GRAMMY awards and two Gramophone awards over a discography of more than 60 releases. They’re joined by violist Jonathan Vinocour, Principal Viola of the San Francisco Symphony since 2009, who has performed as a soloist with the San Francisco and Saint Louis Symphonies and appears regularly as a chamber musician at festivals including Marlboro, La Jolla SummerFest, and the Seattle Chamber Music Society, where his past collaborators have included Yo-Yo Ma, Yefim Bronfman, and James Ehnes.
