Latin Jazz Legends

Eddie Palmieri never played it safe - his fearless, boundary-crossing artistry reshaped what Latin jazz could be. This concert honors him and a whole host of Cuban innovators like Ray Barreto, Tito Puente, Irakere and the Fort Apache Band that created a rich tradition of Cuban jazz and salsa. The Curtis Brothers, two of today's leading voices in Afro-Latin jazz will be with us. Grammy winner pianist Zaccai Curtis and his brother, bass player Luques will bring fresh energy to the rhythms Palmieri and others made famous. And yes, you have permission to dance.
