Born from a desire to stand against censorship and suppression online, SAM Teen Arts Group (TAG) presents [REDACTED]. TAG's response to these restrictions is to use their platform at the museum to amplify the self-expression of their community.
[REDACTED] honors the identities, stories, tribulations, and triumphs of young artists from across King and Snohomish County. From brave wildfire-fighting volunteers risking their lives for our communities, to languages nearly lost to the oppressive forces of colonialism, these voices will be heard today. The pieces in this exhibition are an urgent reminder that art and the creative spirit found within each of us remain formidable, inalienable tools of power and resistance.
