Silent Reading at Seattle Center 2026

Grab a blanket, pack your favorite snacks, and join Third Place Books, Seattle Arts & Lectures, the Seattle Public Library, the King County Library System, and fellow book lovers for a free Silent Reading Party at the Mural Amphitheater at Seattle Center on Sunday, July 12, from 5-7 p.m.

Whether you come solo or with friends, bring your picnic dinner and get ready to unwind with a good book in the summer sunshine. Lounge on the lawn, meet local booksellers and librarians, enter to win fun prizes, swap great reads, celebrate the 2026 Summer Book Bingo program, and just soak up the quiet joy of reading together—surrounded by community.

Free and open to all—registration encouraged!

Box Office Info

Folks who are 18 years of age or older who cannot otherwise afford tickets at SAL can sign up for the Community Access Tickets (CAT) program here.

2 for $10: Any TeenTix member may get entrance to SAL's events for FREE, and purchase a $5 ticket for another person of any age for any show at this organization (a total of $5). Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets.
