Summer at SAM: Concert Evening

Welcome back to summer! Kick off this season of Summer at SAM with programs that combine visual art, music, and community. This year, you can stroll through the park while you sip on purchased drinks.
Thursday evenings bring the party with performances by Seattle-based musicians, hands-on art activities to inspire your creativity, putt-putt golf, and rotating local food trucks.
All Summer at SAM programs are free and suitable for all ages. Outside alcohol is not permitted in the Olympic Sculpture Park.
July 9th, 2026:

Nepantla Cultural Arts presents a curated selection of teaching artists and activities.

Grab a bite during the concert from local food trucks. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase from Shooby Doo Catering in the PACCAR Pavilion.

i///u is a neo-soul band working to create more than music; they aspire to craft an artistic community that brings individuals together with their unique sound. Through neo-soul, i///u mixes traditional sounds with modern musical trends, pullsing inspiration from pop culture and introducing elements of jazz in a way that is accessible and can be appreciated by everybody. With a team ranging from producers to photographers, i///u is developing an inclusive musical collective to engage all kinds of artists and their creativity.

- 7 pm | somesurprises
somesurprises is the Seattle-based band led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Natasha El-Sergany. What began as a bedroom project focused on spectral balladry and late-night exploration, somesurprises has since evolved into an enigmatic collaboration with synthesist and guitarist Josh Medina. Since 2017, the duo has created a unique blend of reverb drenched folk, motorik dream pop and drone rock. - 8 pm | Mt. Fog
Mt Fog has been enchanting audiences across the Northwest and most recently, Europe, with their high-energy, haunted-forest style. They've appeared at Timber Fest, Capitol Hill Block Party, and TARBOO fest. Mt Fog receives frequent praise for their dynamic performances, melding influences from jazz to ambient to art rock.
