Teen Connectors
Teen Connectors Program Structure
- Attend monthly cohort meetings
- Curate monthly arts outings in Seattle Center
- Create outreach campaigns to connect peers to events
- Build authentic relationships through shared arts experiences
Teen Connectors is a new program that empowers teens to build arts-centered community in Seattle Center. The inaugural cohort will work together with TeenTix and Arts Partners to develop backstage tours, talks, and gatherings before Seattle Center shows and events. To create a community of teen arts-goers, Connectors will develop outreach campaigns—social media, flyers, tabling, pop-ups—and use the above events as opportunities to connect their peers with each other and the arts. The cost of all Teen Connectors events will be covered, and Connectors will receive a monthly stipend that includes transportation costs.
Like all TeenTix programs, Teen Connectors is youth-led and youth-informed. Connectors are community leaders, and TeenTix will provide mentorship and direct hands-on experience in program development and outreach. Though TeenTix will provide the guidelines for the program, how it functions will largely rely on our cohort’s creativity and initiative.
Teen Connectors will work together to design and attend events with our Seattle Center Partners: KEXP, Pacific Northwest Ballet, MOPOP, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and more!
TeenTix is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, originally founded as a program of the Seattle Center in 2004. Tax ID: 81-2736337
