Totem Star supports a diverse community of young recording artists learning music and life skills through mentorship and meaningful relationships. Our work in the studio and on the stage fosters growth in collaboration, leadership, and self-identity.
THINGS YOU CAN DO:
- Participate in The Studio - The opportunity to learn, practice, collaborate, and/or record by booking studio slots or dropping into open studio
- FREE and open to young people 14-21 years old
- Mondays & Wednesdays 1-7pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 3-7pm during the school year
- Summer hours TBA
- We release an annual mixtape featuring music made in the Totem Star studio
- Interested artists should complete the artist inquiry form
- Attend The Stage - Quarterly youth open mics and showcases
- All events FREE and open to the public
- Any youth can show up and sign up to perform at open mics
- See The Story - Quarterly guest artist and music industry professional Q&A panels
- All events FREE and open to the public
- Take part in The Song - Monthly artist spotlight share in e-newsletter, our website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Intern at Totem Star - Audio engineering, artist management, show production, communications, etc.
- Artist Booking - paid music gigs for young artists!!
