Development Committee
TeenTix’s Development Committee is composed of Board members and Volunteers who work together annually to support TeenTix’s fundraising projects. The Development Committee is responsible for creating meaningful engagements for supporters and generating ideas for growing our giving community.
YOUR ROLE
As a volunteer member of the Development Committee, you will play a pivotal role in advancing TeenTix's revenue goals and expanding our giving community. Your focus will be on cultivating social initiatives, such as our fall event and building our framework for peer-to-peer giving circles. You'll be actively involved in shaping the fundraising strategy, engaging with supporters and advocates, and contributing to the overall success of TeenTix.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a volunteer position. We are re-launching our Development Committee and we’re looking to add people this year to help us grow! We listed some responsibilities below that are things you might do on the committee. As a volunteer, we expect your involvement to be as little or as big as you are able to accommodate:
Collaborate with TeenTix staff and the Board to identify fundraising opportunities and initiatives.
Develop and refine plans for peer-to-peer fundraising events, with a special emphasis on our 20th Anniversary fall event.
Facilitate the creation and growth of giving circles within the TeenTix community.
Engage with donors and supporters to steward their engagements and thank them for their gifts.
Collaborate with committee members to establish best practices for effective fundraising strategies with a focus on Community-Centric Fundraising principles.
Attend and actively participate in monthly meetings with the Development Committee.
QUALIFICATIONS
The main qualification is a strong interest in bringing people together to support TeenTix’s mission! If you’re excited about that, we’d love to chat with you.
Here are some things that we think would be helpful to our committee:
Experience creating mission-forward fundraising and friendraising events
Interest in building fun activities for new and existing supporters
Experience working with nonprofit organizations
