Attention all future Social Media Influencers! Ever wonder what it takes to go viral? In this week-long day-camp you’ll learn the pros and cons of being a social media influencer in 2019 and work in small groups to create web content. Learn more here!

Making the Impossible (VR/FX)

In this camp, students will explore the world of visual effects by learning how to create and record physical effects from classic films using models, mattes, and other tricks. They’ll also learn about how current filmmakers are using virtual reality to take people on otherwise impossible journeys. Register now!

Advanced Animation

Ages 12 - 17

Whether you’re new to animation or have been making it for a while, this camp will help you get to the next level and create more complex animations! You will have time and mentorship to design and create an original animation during the camp. The Improv Jam

You'll find a fun and friendly environment where anyone can come and learn the art of creating hilarious improvised scenes and characters, good for newbies and improv masters alike! Intergenerational Steel Drum Camp

Grades 6+

This program is structured so that young people play together in a special morning session. Youth later take the lead to help teach their adult band-mates when the whole group meets – with the objective to provide leadership and mentor opportunities to both youth and adults. Each day wraps up with the opportunity for band members to eat lunch together. Register here!

Rain City Rock Camp for Girls Advanced Music Program

Grades 8 - 12

Come for a week-long intensive study of playing in a band, songwriting, music business, and empowerment workshops, off-site trips to studios and venues, and more! Rain City Rock Camp Summer Camps
Rain City Rock Camp for Girls
Session 1: July 15 - 20
Session 2: July 22 - 27
Ages 8 - 17

Campers come for a weeklong crash course in playing an instrument, songwriting, social justice and empowerment workshops and more! At the end of the week, campers get to perform their original song with their band at a local live music venue. No previous experience necessary! Register for Session 1 or Session 2 right here.

Summer Advanced Institute

Grades 10 - 12

Approach jazz with a holistic understanding of its history and development! You'll work closely with faculty in small ensembles, masterclasses, and group discussion, PLUS hone your leadership skills and expand your love for the many styles of Jazz. Summer Second Line Project

Get your funk on! Inspired by the long time New Orleans second line tradition, we are forming a NEW summer second line group. You’ll learn 3-4 new songs by memory to perform in the Seafair Torchlight Parade in downtown Seattle. This music is super fun and festive. Think riff-based music. LOUD and PROUD. Grow confidence in your unique voice as part of the Summer Vocal Institute! Learn to sing in a new way, drawing inspiration from the great American song book. You'll focus on singing freely and improvising in a supportive learning environment. The week ends with a public performance for friends and family. Register here!

Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras

This fun summer learning experience includes small group ensemble and full orchestral work taught by talented and committed music teachers. The camps conclude with a student concert for the entire family! Designed for those who have at least 2 years of playing experience or one year of private instruction. Seattle Opera

Ages 11 - 14

Campers have the opportunity to explore the performing arts through the lens of opera with a week of singing, acting, dancing and more. You'll create scenes and dialogue inspired by opera's greatest hits while Seattle Opera teaching artists will give you the tools and confidence to make original, creative choices onstage and off. Teen Performance Workshop

This workshop gives high school students the opportunity to learn, stage, and perform songs and scenes from opera and musical theatre. Participants will work with a music director, stage director, and choreographer to bring theatrical moments to life, which they will present in a performance at the Opera Center. Auditions for the Summer Teen Musical are approaching fast! Sign up for acting instruction, vocal coaching, improv and leadership games, choreography/dance/movement lessons, a class in stage make-up, acting etiquette and more. Twelfth Night: Acting, Improv, & Combat Camp

Join us for a week of fun as we take on Shakespeare's most festive comedy, Twelfth Night! Students will rehearse scenes, practice acting techniques, play improv games, and create comedic stage combat routines. The week culminates in a Friday showcase for family and friends. Register here!

Advanced Cartooning

Middle & High School

Take what you know about drawing and apply it to cartoons! You’ll dive deeper into techniques used by professional cartoon artists in print and video, axplore works on view in TAM's animation exhibition, create your own cartoon strips, animation, and more! Register here.


Mic Drop: Comedy Camp
July 8 - 12 and 15 - 19
Grades 9 - 12

Working with three local professional comedians, campers will learn the basics of improv, sketch comedy, and stand-up. In the second week of camp, they’ll prepare for a final showcase at Unexpected Productions Market Theater.
