Dance Journalism Workshop with Edmonds Center for the Arts!

The TeenTix Press Corps is collaborating with Edmonds Center for the Arts to present a Dance Journalism Workshop! This workshop is a three-weekend experience, with meetings on April 30, May 7, and May 14, 2022. You'll learn how to approach writing about dance, attend a performance of Jacob Jonas The Company’s CRASH ft. Okaidja Afroso, try your hand at writing a dance review.

This workshop is FREE, and includes tickets to see CRASH.
Teens must commit to attending all three days in order to participate.
This workshop is limited to 20 teens.
WORKSHOP AGENDA
Saturday, April 30
11-1 PM - Learn about the context of the piece, how to approach watching and writing about dance
Saturday, May 7
7:15-9:30 PM - Attend the performance, plus an immediate post-show reflection
Saturday, May 14
11-1 PM - Discuss the performance, receive edits on your writing in response to the performance
All meetings and events will be held at Edmonds Center for the Arts. Masks are required for all meetings at ECA.
