Julie H + Suyama Space

On Saturday night, my parents asked me if I was interested in going to listen to Cuban music. I wasn't sure because I didn't know what to expect, but when my mom told me it was part of Arts Crush, I thought it was a great opportunity to try something new. We went downtown and after dinner we went to the Suyama Space, which is a whole 'nother story! The band, Charanga Danzon, consisted of very talented musicians of the: violin, drums, moraccas, base, and different types of guitars and flutes. I loved it. Honestly, I didn't think I would like it that much! I loved the whole feel of the live music, which I haven't experienced in a while! I thought it was a great experience, and now I am open to new things and can't wait to do something like that again!
