Film Criticism Workshop

Discover the basics of film criticism, attend a screening of Little Women, try your hand at writing reviews, and receive mentorship from Press Corps teaching artist and film critic, Kathy Fennessy. This workshop is a FREE two-weekend experience.

Dance Journalism Workshop

When: February 16, 20, & 23

Learn how to approach writing about dance, attend a performance of Hiplet Ballerinas, and try your hand at writing a dance review. The workshop will be taught by Seattle-based dance journalist and artist, Imana Gunawan.



Theatre & Dance Press Corps Intensive

When: February 15 - March 21

Learn how to approach writing dance and theater reviews! Participants will attend two dance performances - Grupo Corpo at Meany Center for the Performing Arts and One Thousand Pieces at Pacific Northwest Ballet - and two plays - Snow White at Seattle Children's Theatre and The Women of Lockerbie at UW Drama. Teens will be mentored by professional critics - Becs Richards and Melody Datz Hansen - who will help each participant hone their arts criticism and arts interpretation skills. At the end of the intensive, each participant will have a review published on the TeenTix blog.
